DTHR is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and is run by volunteers. We depend on public donations in order to help and care for the horses in our care. All donations go directly to the horses. We are very happy to announce that we are the FIRST rescue/sanctuary in the state of Alabama who is verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries!
We are in DIRE needs of donations for feed. With the current grain prices the upkeep of the horses in our care is becoming very costly. Good quality horse hay is in short supply and we feed hay all year long. Please consider donating to our cause to support the horses in our care.
