UPDATE: Most of our horses will take part in the Alabama Trainers Expo. Once they are trained the adoption fees will change. Horses which already assigned/moved to their trainers are not available for adoption until 21 April 2012 we do however accept adoption applications and will inspect the new home so that the horse can move from the Alabama Trainers Expo to the Adopter.
Adopting or fostering a horse from DTHR can be a wonderful experience!! You know you made a difference in the life of a horse. We do feel strongly that fosters and adopters make wonderful horse owners because they do not shy away from giving the love, attention and care these horses deserve.
Most of these horses came to us through cruelty cases and are now looking for loving permanent homes. If you are interested in adopting or fostering, please contact us!
